Miomo blew me away. Hand on heart I can honestly say it was one of the best times of my life.
Throughout the course we met astonishing people who were able to instantly capture our attention. They helped us to realise the dreams that we have known all along; they simply made us aware of them and how easy they were for us to achieve. I was able to open my eyes to my own unique strengths, and to continuously differentiate myself by seeking opportunities where my efforts will lead to delivering my dreams.
Since Miomo I have achieved so much in my life. I now set goals and dates they will be achieved by. Just to name a few of my accomplishments after finishing Miomo – I started a trial promotion to be a key holder/ duty manager and after a successful trial I am now due to start fulltime in this new position. In addition to this I received my first bonus ever, from Warehouse Stationery. I was also part of one of the teams that each won laptops for our efforts during the Back to School period. Most importantly to me I have taken the first steps towards higher education, which has been my aspiration since I developed the ability to dream.
Without out the assistance of Miomo, I would not be where I am now, and all of this could not have been achieved without the pure essence of Yvonne. She is an absolutely extraordinary character and such an inspiration to anyone who has the fortune of her presence. She has taught me to discover the value of my success, this feeling of self worth and confidence: it’s priceless.
Miomo has helped me see that my potential is limitless, once harnessed I will soar through my dreams: It’s exhilarating – try it!

Before Miomo I felt that one way or another I’d find myself in my dream job with everything I ever wanted. In my final year of high school, however, reality paid a visit. I realised that I was no longer able to live under my parents’ wings and expect them to make my life decisions for me. I knew of friends who were working and were already showing signs of independence but I needed someone to point me in the right direction.
Miomo was able to give me the guidance and wake up call I needed. One of my main goals while at Miomo was to get a job, which I now have – I applied by myself, went to the interview by myself and have the utmost confidence I will do well, all thanks to Miomo. With my first semester of university coming to an end and a job to help with those student essentials, I know that I can make it on my own.

This course was an amazing experience for me and I enjoyed every moment of it.
All of the presenters had a huge effect on my thinking whether I agreed with what they said or not.
The live in enviroment was great and I gained some life time friends. Miomo helped me to understand things at a much deeper level than I had before.
I thank everyone that made this experience possible for me and assure them it was a life changing experience and wish that everyone my age could go through it.

I was a student on the first live-in Miomo course. The facilities were great and the 11 others on the course are now great friends of mine. We were treated well with great respect on the course.
Every single one of the speakers on Miomo were helpful, insightful, positive, friendly and fun. The speakers were very generous, often staying after their talks to speak individually to us if we wished. Each student has 1 on 1 time with Yvonne who I could thoroughly relate to when we spoke. She sees the best in her Miomo students and brings that out in them.
The inspiration I got from Miomo has stuck with me and will do so forever. I would recomend this course to any young adult who wishes to make great friends, be inspired, have fun and learn some amazing skills.

On Miomo, I met new life-long friends and gained valuable information on how to live a successful life.
One of the main principles that I learnt on this course, and that I will keep with me, is “You reap what you sow”. It related to me because I’ve gone through life doing the bare minimum, only doing what I needed to move on.
One class that stood out to me was the goal setting presentation. Although I’ve made plenty of goals in my life, I haven’t been able to follow through on many of them. The first step of creating goals is to write it down. By being able to see it, you can clear your head and work out what needs to be done in order to achieve the goal. We were given a 14 step plan to fill out everything we need to know in order to follow through on our goals. The quote “You reap what you sow” also applies to goal setting.
From this course I was also to learn more about myself. I found my strengths and values, and also my personality. Yvonne was able to show me how all these linked up together, and how I can put this all into effect so I can be more successful and live a better life.
Although I learnt so much, it’s what I’m going to do from now on which will decide how successful I will become.
From completing MIOMO, I have also been given a mentor to help keep me on track, and also to be there if I have any problems or issues.
I wasn’t too sure on this course when I first heard about it, but I’m glad I went to it, and I’m looking forward to using the skills and knowledge acquired to help me to do well in the future.
